- Open Uploads and select the type and name of the source for uploading files to the system.
- The New Dataset from {Source Name} will open and you will be able to configure the Dataset's settings.
- Create a title for the Dataset and type it in the Name field. The name will be saved automatically.
- To synchronize the source with File.one, click on the Folders filed and select the folders you want to add from the drop-down menu.
- By default, the Dataset is available to all users. If needed, you can restrict access to the Dataset. To do that, click on the Access field and select the users you want to have access to the files.
- If you are configuring the Dataset for an email service, specify whether you want to include attachments or not. To do that, click on the Uploads field and select the relevant settings: E-mails with Attachments or Attachments Only.
- Click on the Create button to create the Dataset.
- The Dataset will be synced with the selected folders and it will appear in the Uploads section.
Note: File.one creates a common Dataset for the external source when syncing. The Dataset contains the selected folders. When a new file is added to an external folder on the source, the system adds it to the Dataset. Similarly, when a file is edited on the source or deleted from the source, the system applies the necessary changes to the Dataset.
Note: the system requests the latest versions of the files at least once an hour.
Note: File.one doesn't perform synchronization if the user has been blocked. The sync will be resumed when the user is unblocked. When a folder couldn't be found when the system was attempting sync, the Sync error. Folder not found message will be shown. If the system's access to the folder was denied during sync, the following message will be shown: Sync error. Authorization required. You will be able to enter your account credentials in the Uloads section. If the last attempt to sync was unsuccessful, the system will try again once in every 24 hours.
